Processing of paper visitor extension takes a long time. As a matter of fact, as of today August 18, 2016, they are only processing those recived before April 4. And CIC does not give any a confirmation that they received the application except for the courier signature.
Not sure if anyone knows but does CIC create a record in their system once they receive paper visitor extension application or the file lies down on a cabinet until it is time to process them. And that is the only time they create a record in the system. Our file was received on June 2 per courier receipt.
Have you tried linking your paper application online at GCKey (MyCIC Profile)? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you should be able to link that type of application. I would think it would be in their system by now if was received June 2nd.
mine was received last may 20, based on what i've read on this forum it takes 3 months to 4 months and they don't give AOR. The result will be mail to you without notification, It's going to arrive one day. I tried linking my paper application online but there's no option for that category "Visitor Extension".
Hi pedropil - yes, the same I cannot link and I know there is no AOR for paper Visitor Extension application. My question is, even though I don't have an AOR, is there a possibility if the paper application is already in the system of CIC once they receive the application.

Based on the cic agent that i spoke on the phone before, the application will be on the system once they started processing it. If we cant find it now means still not our turn. Better to wait, it will arrive in our mailbox soon.
Just confusing because I already received confirmation from CIC that they received the spousal sponsorship application with the UCI and Application #. However, whenever I try to link the application in the GC Link system, they are unable to find it.

What im saying is for the paper application for visitor extension, You can see it on GC key once they start processing it (linking your paper application online) but the thing is we don't know when, were just basing on the application processing times. For the inland application you can check the status using your UCI #.
Yes Yes I know that I can check my spousal application but I cannot link it in the GC Key yet I have the receipt that they received the application? So does it mean that it is not yet in their system? So it boils down to the same logic as to the paper application if there is the possibility that it is in their system already although I am unable to link it in the GC Key.

I get your point but checking your application using your UCI# means that the application is already in their system, like mine the status is in process. and everyone in the inland applicants are using UCI# for their application status check eg, approval of SA,PA and DM. It's more accurate i think, for me.
