Respected Members,
I wanted a suggestion about a panel physician in Delhi ? Any specific recommendation from the list based on your experiences ? Also wanted an estimate of the total expenditure incurred for the medical exam and how soon the notification for test results upload is available?
We went to the Max clinic, i think its actually called Max cancer care or something of sorts, a month ago. They seemed to do all sorts of immigration related health checks as well as carry out health checks for kids who were adopted abroad.
It worked like a well oiled machinery. Regardless of the doc we took appointment with, it was really that the reception guys assigned people to whoever was less busy i guess (there are some 5-6 physicians working there). The whole interaction is extremely brief, respectful, and i really dont think it will make much difference which physician is doing the report, because its very basic anyway. They collect the blood sample and urine in one lab room, bp, height and weight in another room, and do chest xray in the third room. Clean gowns (that are xray approved) are given to all applicants, so you never feel nude or uncomfortable.
Lastly, the physician visit is in yet another room and they give basic questions about overall health and illness history. For women, an assistant lady carries out basic stomach palpitation, checks stomach for scars. Other body parts were not checked. The doctor does a quick stethoscope check. Thats about it.
Cost about 6000 inr for one adult, some 2500 or 2800 more if you have tatoos (more bloodwork to check for extra needle transmittable diseases).
Kids costs was about 1500 or 2000 each. For kids it was only physical exam for one (4 y.o) and physical and urine for the other (6 y.o.)
We are family of 4 and we were free in 2.5 hours approx. We did try to utilize our time wisely and while one adult was busy with own tests, the other adult helped with kids testing, so we can be gone from there ASAP.
Right after the tests, they give the document that is to be uploaded on the application. Do check that its stamped, one of ours missed a stamp, so we had to go back there another time.
Our consultants advised we take out the staple and scan documents fully, properly as they said the folded corned of stapled lot of paper may be an issue for rejection, so probably to stay on safer side, take the staple out.
