yes u can send them the notarized copy of transcript...there is no issue
If they require ,they will ask u for the originals.
In my case, still no asking for the original till yet..10 months to go

I am from London visa office and Pakistani. I done the same what you did. Just write in a cover letter that university doesn't issue 2nd set of originals unless first set is lost so if they still need to see you would provide later as soon as possible.

This is absolutely fine as I have done the same and my visa office is London. My university does not allow a 2nd original transcript so the university made copies of the original transcripts and added the university seal and the concerned person signed it and gave it to me in a university sealed envelope. If London office wants to verify they can verify the authenticity of the transcripts from your university. Hope this helps and good luck mate...
