Hi guys
Does paid vacation out of Canada count toward CEC 1 year requirement?
I have excatly one year work experience in Canada and i took a vacation (paid) to my home country for 1 week. my reference letter did state that i am entitled to 10 days paid vacataion and I do have paystubs

Also does the time waiting for Post grad work permit count too?

Don't worry about vacation for a week.

One of my friend used experience when she finished college and waited for PGW, she is PR now. You have to explain your were graduated while working without PGW.

No worries, quite normal, no need for a LOE.

Full-time work after graduation is authorized if you have applied for the PGWP, so it does count. But it's a good idea to include a LOE for that, because VOs tend to just look at the start date of the PGWP. Your transcript and degree/diploma should show the date of graduation.

THank you! I do have a confirmation letter from my school dated March 30, 2016 saying i have completed my program of study. I applied for PGWP on April 1 and started my job on April 18, (2 days before my PGWP start date, April 21)
My actual graduation/convocation date was June 2016. Will that be an issue? I know the study completion date and graduation date are different.

That is one thing that I wish IRCC would clarify. On the one hand, you are technically still enrolled as a student until you graduate (or the last day of your final semester), and as long as you are a full-time student, the experience doesn't count. On the other, they gave you the PGWP before you graduated. As long as you have the PGWP, it counts, but but I cannot point to anything that would reassure you. IRCC has not defined the "event" that marks the end of your student status... and indeed, since different schools organize it differently, it may be very difficult.

Thanks a lot for your input. You have been really helpful! I guess I would attach that confirmation letter from the school together with a LOE with my application. I received my ITA on April 19( One day after my one-year mark as I started my job on April 18 last year).
