Hello
i am currently working as paid apprentice mechanic in ontario and my job tittle falls under Noc 7321.
am i eligible to Apply under this code in express entry Canadian experience class for permanent residence without mecahnic certification/licence but just on paid apprentice ?
thanks
I am an international student, did two years diploma in Motive Power Technician program. Now I'm on PGWP and looking for jobs in automotive industry. I have got offers from mechanic shops for apprentice mechanic like Canadian Tire. I went to MTCU office to register for apprentice and they denied my registration because it requires Citizenship, or Permanent Residency or Study permit (although I have PGWP).
So now, I'm planning to apply for study permit so that I can enroll into apprentice.
My questions are
1. Let's say I've applied study permit and start apprentice, got enough experience (1 year) to apply for CEC, Will the study permit make any problem for immigration?
2. Our mechanic-apprentice falls under NOC B category - Will the apprentice be considered as work experience?

You cannot count your work experience if you geather in
Your studypermit period.
My advice, u continue work in your present company, geather one year experience,
Get job offer and letter of employment for apply pr.
After get your pr you can go to mtcu to enroll as apprentice.
Otherwise you can directly write journeyman exam with five year experience.
You can count for five year experience from today
I have paid apprenticeship experience of 1 year in Mechanical Engineer from India. The apprenticeship was not a part of study and I did it after my graduation. Can I get points under express entry for this apprenticeship if I show it under my work experience?
