OWP - Spouse Dependant visa

Hi All ,

My Spouse has got Canadian study permit visa as a Phd student.
I already have business visa. Should i apply for spouse Dependant visa or Can i make use of the existing business visa.
and What is the procedure to apply for OWP .

Are you already in Canada?

If not, you can apply at port of entry.

If yes, fill the application online on cic.gc.ca

I'm in India now .
Can i make use of my existing business visa (Already stamped on my passport ) OR Should i apply for Spouse dependent visa separately .

Can you please let me know the detailed procedure for OWP

1. Is there any application form for OWP .( I Searched in CIC website, but NO luck )
2. Port of entry OWP (is it applicable for people from india ?)
3. Do i need to take any other documents with me for port of entry OWP .

Do you have a Multiple Entry TRV on your VISA?

If yes, then when you arrive to Canada, show them the copy of your wifes Study permit and copy of marriage certificate.

You need to pay $150 and you will get a OPW which will have same expiry date as of your wife student VISA.

And yes, when I arrived I saw 2 Indian couples who got work permit of POE.

Yes. The single entry just means that if she wants to leave Canada she will have to apply for another visa before she can re-enter.

Ok, my wife has visitor visa single entry till august end (since my study permit ends in august)...When she comes here in June, can she get stay period of 6 months like normal visitor or she will get till august end only ? If she gets it till august end only, can I include her in my application for extension of my study permit? I will apply for her extension as spousal work permit then. That means , single application :- my study permit renewal and her open work permit.

Does this have to do anything with her current single entry visa till august ? She will be applying for her work permit starting from sept only. So I think once she gets her work permit from sept, then I can apply for her multiple entry visa
