OWP or visitor record multiple entry?

Hi,

I am a master student. My wife and my son are coming next month, and willing to stay with me as long as I stay in Canada.

If they get a visitor record with the stay length longer than 6 months, or if my wife changes her status to OWP after arrvial, can they make round trips between Canada and China with their OWP or visitor record status? of couse, with a valid multiple entry visa.

I heard that some visitors only get few months stay length or deported at Vancouver airport when they make the 2nd entry to canada.

Apply for an OWP attached to your Study Permit. You are allowed to bring your family while you are studying. That's the correct way to do it as they are planning to live with you not to just make a visit.
