Hi,
I am to get my workpermit in few weeks , I have job offer and LMO positive.
My wife had applied for open work permit with me and we both will get visa together,
Now she is pregnant for 3 months ,
will they allow us to enter in canada?
WP refusal could not be based on preganancy. However, if your wife needs extensive health care for her other medical needs, the officer could make a decision to delay her travel with you together.
I highly doubt that they will deny your wife entry. When do you plan to go to Canada, ie how far along will she be when you make your entry? The only concern you would probably have is the cost of giving birth. Not sure what province you're going to be staying in, but they usually require at least 3 months of residency before you're covered for healthcare.
Thanks a lot,
I will be in SK, state.
can you give me any other infor if you have with this regards,
as I am totally new for canada and dont know whats going to happen,
I may move there in Jan, my wife will be 4 month pregnant that time,
Pls advice ,what else I can do for betterment and avoid hassales.
THanks

I just looked up health coverage in SK and it looks like it also starts 3 months after you come there. See: http://www.health.gov.sk.ca/moving-to-saskatchewan
So you'd have to pay for doctor appointments (I think they're around $60-90) until you get covered at around April, and she would be around 7 months by then. Just enough time for her to be covered by the province health coverage when she gives birth.
