Overseas dependent timeline???

We filed an inland spousal application and we received the first stage approval. Since we have an overseas dependent, our file won't be finalized until they assess our child. My visa office is in Manila.

When will the cic forward the application to visa office for my dependent?
Can we receive a letter informing us regarding this? How about an update in ecas?

Anyone who has the same experience?

Appreciate any inputs from you guys.

mine was inland sponsorship too.

my daughter received a letter after the first approval of my husband..they will send you a letter informing they will approved your application and that they will tell Manila office to send her a letter..

you can open the application of your child using her immigration file number..not in your e cas..separate e cas.

We received your application for permanent residence on August 4, 2011.


We started processing your application on January 17, 2012. (this is after she passed all the documents including her passport)


Medical results have been received.

and last May 9,2012 after I got my PR,the officer told me that she will get her visa within 6 - 8 weeks..

Thank you so much for your reply. We received the approval letter but no information aboutl Manila office to send a letter. Instead, a separate letter is included asking for the details of the overseas dependent, full name, place of birth, date of birth, relationship to applicant, address.

When did you receive your AIP? What are the documents that your dependent received from CIC-Manila?

June 8,2011- they sent me a letter asking me to pay for my dependants applications..

Aug.2,2011 - they sent me a letter asking for my police certificate (this is the time they told me that I can apply for open work permit or study work permit then ..The overseas office in Manila will be notified to issue visa to your family members to travel to Canada.please take this letter to the Canada Immigration Centre when you are scheduled to obtain your confirmation of permanent residence document.

Aug. 24,2011 - the Manila office sent a letter to my daughter asking her to pass her documents within 60 days then after that another letter that they need her medical within 45 days and her passport then she did last Jan.16, 2012 .

then Feb. 9, 2012 her applications was received here in Canada.

then April 25,2012 they send me a letter that my application was already completed.

then May 9,2012 I received my confirmation of permanent residence papers.and the officer told me to wait for 6 - 8 weeks for my daughter's visa they will inform Manila to issue a visa to her now..3 weeks waiting now..
