My wife and I sent in our application for spousal sponsorship(outland) one month ago- we have not recieved any communication back yet. She is currently in Canada on the regular 6 month visit(without visa) with roughly 4 months remaining. She is now pregnant and we are evaluating our options. Her home country is currently closed and she is unable to return. As well, Travelling at all in the next 9 months seems very perilous and not worth the risk.
In this situation should we change our application to an inland? Is it possible to do this?
Would an inland application give her provincial health coverage? (British Columbia)

1. Can't just switch applications, you have to withdraw the outland, and re-submit inland application. As long as she doesn't require an interview, then I would leave it as an outland, and have her change the mailing address.
2. You would have to Contact BC MSP, as she is a visitor, and she may not be eligible with the out of Canada application. See: https://tinyurl.com/ybmyk3y3
