Outland Spousal Sponsorship Biometrics

We mailed our outland spousal sponsorship package to Canada on Dec 20, 2020 and received an email from IRCC on Feb 20, 2021 indicating Federal Approval and to go through with the Biometrics. (Not sure if this is a pretty good approval timeframe all things considered during the pandemic?)

The issue while overseas has been that no place can do the biometrics until finally one opened up this month, VFS Global, and our appointment for biometrics is booked for March 12th.

Just wondering what the next steps are after biometrics? We printed the paper from the IRCC email and VFS Global confirmation, and biometrics has already been paid for, but are we expected to mail the biometrics in after the appointment with VFS Global or will they do that for us?

Would there be any further follow up needed on our end after the biometrics or should we just wait (not sure for how long in terms of ETA) for another email from IRCC?

VFS will send the biometrics data in directly, no need for you to do anything. Otherwise - more waiting. You may get medical sooner or later, depending on country. You said 'federal pproval', is yours a quebec application?
