i want to pay my fees. i am living in canada with my husband on a visitor visa but am applying outland to London. Where do i pay the fees to and how can i do it. i have read that you can pay pay online to canada even though i am applying to london but on the cic website it says:
"If you are applying at an office outside Canada
You can find information on fee payment methods at the website of the visa office (immigration applications) or the Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate (proof of citizenship applications) responsible for your area. Visa and consular offices cannot accept receipts for fees paid in Canada."
if this is the case can someone tell me how this is done. and if you can just pay online to canada i would like to hear from someone who has done this
When you go to the page for payment of fees click on the link for "Pay Fees Online". It will take you through a few steps and you will select "Mississauga, ON". You then follow the instructions to print out your reciept to send with the application!
If you are being sponsored for permanent status by your spouse, you pay the fees online to CPC-Mississauga, not the overseas embassy. Go to the link, choose Continue. Check "I have read and understood conditions" and click Continue. Check Immigration. Check "I am sending my application to Mississauga, ON processing centre" and Continue. Confirm and Continue. Enter "1" in the Right of Permanent Residence Fee section (if you are paying the RPRF upfront - it can be deferred until later, but doing so can delay processing). Then, under "Family Class", place a "1" in the Sponsor's fee ($75) box, a "1" in the Priniciple Applicant's fee ($475) box, and the appropriate number (if applicable) in the "family member over 22 or under 22 years of age" box(es). The program will calculate your fees, ask you to create a username and password, and then take you to where you enter your credit card information. After you've made your payment, print your receipt and include that with your application as proof of payment. You can log in afterwards, at any time, to view your payments or print another receipt.
An alternative is to order an official CIC payment coupon from CIC and make your payment at a Canadian financial institution. The form is a three part form: one part goes with the payment at the bank, the second goes with your application as proof of payment and the third part is yours to keep. The risk with making your payment this way is if you lose the receipt, you have no proof that you ever paid the fees. If you pay online, you can always go back and re-print your receipt.
