Outland Application - Visitor Visa query

Hi all,

Bit of a long query, but I am wondering as to what situation I would be in.

So I am marrying my girlfriend here in Canada at the end of this month and will be applying Outland at the beginning of July. I am currently here on IEC until the middle of this month and last month I applied for a Visitor Visa. The details I entered on the initial Visitor Visa were for me travelling for three months after as this was before I proposed and she said yes (covered my bases a little). I expected that this Visitor Visa would be a New Visitor Visa and would have been dealt with by now. I have rang the Call Centre and they have stipulated that this would be a Visitor Extension instead so my application would be known by roughly the 1st of July due to the logner processing times.

As most could understand I am now a little anxious that should there be an issue and I find out in the beginning of July that is rejected. Then if I apply for another Visitor visa whilst still in Canada, would I have implied status or would I have to leave Canada?
