I’m currently living with my wife here in Canada at the same address. Can I still apply as outland? Or I’ll HAVE to apply as inland?
I’m still debating which one we should go with but I’ve started leaving towards outland since we’ll have the flexibility if we want to travel around. I have also heard that the processing time is shorter.
You can still apply outland, yes, but you will not get any special ability to stay or work in Canada while you are waiting for approval. Right now the processing estimations are 10 months for outland, 13 for inland. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html
Edit: it seems you can now potentially get an open work permit even if you're applying outland? I was just reading about it on another post, I guess it's new? Definitely look into that for yourself.
