Some forms ask for other names. My wife and I are both artists with a small following. I have a musical "stage name" I suppose, and my wife posts her work (as a visual artist) on things like Facebook or blogs using a different middle name.
... Is this information they want to know from us? For all I know they could be asking for the names of my characters in online games and what not. How can "other names" be defined?
I would imagine any name you use publicly. I wouldn't consider gamer tags an alias, stage names and such I would probably include. Maybe include a letter explaining the names?

We followed a suggestion on here to add letters after each form that needed them. The letter should have the form name & reference Id (IMM xxxx) and the section/question id. Then the relevant details that you want to offer. Probably a good idea to also add the applicant name as well, in case the letter comes loose.

We added things like the fact that my husband goes by both his full first name and also a shortened version if it... like Thomas and Tom. Same as for two of our children that have shorter versions of their names. Also my maiden name but not like facebook names or whatnot. I would think that even just putting the names there should be fine but I do like the idea of adding a side note for it.
Hi zardoz,
after you provided letter of explanation, did the application process go smoothly?
I am in the similar situation. I don't have alias names, but I have first name with 2 words (aaa bbb). In some documents, I have first name as 'aaa' and in few documents I have it as 'aaa bbb'. So, I am wondering whether I should these as other names or simply say "N/A" as my full name is always same.
