Hi all, I’m 25 years old still with my parents,my cousin wanted to sponsor me under other family relative sponsorship, he is divorce, no kids and no family in Canada except the family of his ex wife but they are legally divorce and he is living by himself. His parents were no where to find and his living with us since birth but not legally adopted by my parents. He had a brother however they are not in good terms, he doesn’t even put his brother’a name in his family form during his immigration process back 2006. What is our chances? Should we continue our plan? Need your advice, Thank you.

He will need to show his parents are deceased. If his brother is living in Canada you would not qualify.

Can he just write a letter of explanation that he doesn’t seen his parents for a long time? Nope he doesn’t have a family in Canada except his ex wife but they are not living together for almost 5 years.

He would need to prove that both of his parents are deceased in order to qualify to sponsor you. Unfortunately a letter of explanation won't be accepted.
