OSAP - Ontario Student Assistance Program & Sponsorship

I have two separate questions.

1. If I am on OSAP or any kind of student assistance program from the government can I apply to be a sponsor?

2. On arrival lets say my spouse wants to study and requires assistance such as OSAP, will it be defaulting and going against the agreement of the sponsorship?

1. Yes - you can apply to sponsor.

2. No - this will not be defaulting / going against the agreement of the sponsorship.

OSAP is not classified as social assistance.
