My fiancé is applying for his visa under the common law, family class sponsorship and we have a question about sending in original documents vs certified copies.
Will we need to have certified copies of documents like emails and text messages that are being translated? Or do we only need to get government documents like the police background check and medical exams photocopied and certified?
I have a lot of proof of our relationship and common-law status that show we live together but those documents like utilities bills, emails, etc. are in Spanish. Of course those documents will be translated but can't I just send in the original versions instead of getting the certified copies? Thank you!

Enter the type of spousal sponsorship and the country of residence of the person being sponsored. This will then display all the forms and in particular the detailed checklists, completion guide and country specific information you need to refer to.
The checklist and detailed completion guide will tell you all you need to know about translations, certified / notarised copies etc.
