Hi there! I'm from Singapore and I applied online June 25, received several email notifications that there was an update in MyCIC account but once I logged into it, no update at all. Finally, now July 23, I am able to receive an update from them.
I received an e-mail notification that I have a new message in MyCIC sccount and that I need to log into MyCIC to view the message. Once I logged into it, My application/profile details states that the application/profile status is "open" and the final decision is "not started", but I have a new message with subject "Original Passport Request" but no message or instruction as to where and how my family and I would submit our passports.
Kindly enlighten me on this matter. Does it mean that our temporary resident/visitor visa application is approved? If they need our passports, where are we going to bring it and what else do we need to bring aside from our passports.
I've also recently received this. When I click on the message it should open another line underneath which says VIEW THIS MESSAGE. When you click that it should download a PDF document which should contain the instructions. If nothing happens when you open the message try another browser, clear history and cache, try on another PC.
a passport request mostly means a positive decision but still you need to wait until the status changes to approved and you get the passport back to be 100% sure but don't worry, it will be alright
I also applied from Singapore and has received the original passport request yesterday noon. However, today I received 2 emails from CIC, one of them saying that there's an update to my application but the status of my application is still "not started" when I checked. Few hours later, I received another email from CIC saying that there have been no updates to my application.
What does this mean? CIC is giving me heart attack ???
