We are planning on sending out the application at the end of January (provided my FBI Clearance comes in when expected!). My husband (sponsor) just received his first T-4 the other day and wants to file for his taxes. We were going to attach an explanation letter in lieu of the option c printout saying he'd never filed for taxes before, thus no printout, but here are his paystubs since being employed. This was true... now it appears not so much. However if we wait to get the Option C, we may be looking at filing in March and it seems silly to wait so long and redo everything just for this printout.
How long can he wait to file his taxes? Does that matter? What started out as pretty simple just got a little more complicated considering it's now tax season!
Send a copy of the T4 and a letter explaining the situation. I've heard of others doing this successfully in the past.

I see. The completed T-4? As in, he fills it out and photocopies it and we attach the photocopy with the application? Thank you very much karlshammar, you have been extremely helpful during mine and my husband's current rollercoaster ride! We are both comforted in hearing this.
From what I heard, you still need to include the Option C printout from the year before (or an explanation for why it isn't attached) as well.

Definitely, that is our plan. Explanation Letter & T-4 photocopy. I'm sure they'll appreciate the T-4 photocopy instead of nothing anyhow. Again, I cannot thank you enough!
