Hello all, I have had a long history with Canada. I initially entered Canada as a student and I changed course of study couple of times, reason being is that I was still exploring myself as a professional. Finally I settled for culinary/hospitality industry and I am loving it right now. However, I was unable to get a work permit for some reason and I applied for a Study permit application to restore my status was refused the restoration for a faulty document from my college. I applied for a TRV after and that was a refusal again, resulting in an overstay. Currently I am in my home country and I am planning to pursue Canadian Education again.

I looked around for Indian education and I didn't find any luck. I am looking for a one year intense program which is also hands on and for that reason I chose Canada. I am also familiar with the education and work in Canada and that made me consider that program.

I am working with a law firm and they advised me to build some ties in India and apply for May 2020 in order to achieve results. I am genuinely interested in study and I would come back and start my own business in either India or Dubai, as I cannot afford north american business and I want to start slow and low. My lawyer advised me to build ties and have an explanation as to why I am looking for Canadian education and not elsewhere. he also said I should ask for forgiveness regarding my overstay and let them know my intentions.

I would like to know different perspectives on my situation. I don't have NOC code A or B work experience, All the experience I had was a part time worker during my stay as a student.(NOC C) Also, its irrelevant the work experience because I am looking to study but, any advice on any stream is appreciated. ( If I can enter Canada once and change my plans to education would work too).

Your lawyer’s advice is already very good. Nothing more to add.

Your part-time work experience doesn’t help you in any way because you did not clock in enough hours for it to matter.
