Open work permit

Hello I am from South Korea and I am applying for Common law sponsorship with my bf who's Canadian and also open work permit at the same time.
My working visa is gonna get expired in early Oct.
Will I get the open work permit pretty soon?

When did you apply? Did you apply as an 'inland' applicant?

I am sending the papers next Monday and I am living in Canada rightt now. Should I do something to let them know that I am in Canada? Or they just know as seeing my ID card that I send them... Thanks

You should be expecting the OWP in December.

It's not about them knowing you're inside of Canada - it's about how you applied. Did you submit a "within Canada" or "outside of Canada" application?

I did Within. Why is it December cause it usually takes two months? Is there any way I can ask to get sooner? Because my Working Holiday visa here expires in early Oct..
