Hello,
I have an employer specified on my work permit at this point. The validity of my work permit is Jan 2016. I have applied for my PR under federal skilled worker program on the basis of arranged employment and received my file number in February 2015. I am ready to apply for my open work permit but I am not sure if this is the right thing to do because my file has been accepted under arranged employment. On one hand, I want an open work permit so that I can work somewhere else and make some money on the side but on the other hand I do not want to have my PR situation is a jeopardy.
Is it the right choice to apply for open work permit?
If it is, then can I change my employer if I get better opportunities offered by some other company? And still manage to have my PR file processed. Of course I would inform the immigration about my new job when I take that decision. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
