Open Work Permit Holder but no Visa and needs travel to home country

Hi guys!

I hope to hear from people with the same experience.

I came here on a Live In Caregiver visa (old pathway) with a multiple entry permit but is now expired. I have finished my 2 yrs last December and is now an Open Work Permit holder working in a Pharmacy. My PR is currently under process.

I want to go back home on April for the graduation of my son and for the wedding of my brother.....also to see my children for I have not seen them for almost 3 years now.

Please help and let me know if it is OK to go home and what do i need to do since my visa is already expired. Should I just apply for a TRV? Is there a different procedure or process for a former caregiver with an open permit?

You need to apply for a TRV. The process is the same as it is for everyone else.
