Open work permit help

i am applying for an open work permit with my spousal sponsorship visa and need a little help.

When asked to give details of my employment history there are 3 spaces to input information. The first space says “current activity/occupation” but I am currently unemployed due to winter lay offs. I do not have an official return date. Should I say that I am unemployed in space 1? This will mean I can’t answer the other questions in space 1 because they ask where I work. What should I do?

Put unemployed and N/A for the employer.

On the same form there are 2 questions about current activity with From and To dates.

I wrote that I am unemployed and filled the From date but left the To section blank. The form validated with all of this.

Should I worry about leaving the section To blank?
