Hi, I've been through the Express Entry scheme, received ITA and will be submitting my permanent residency application. I understand the processing time can be up to 6 months. Is it possible for those outside Canada to move earlier by applying for an open work permit? I figure this way I can have time to settle, find work and accommodation before PR finalized. I'm not sure if open work permit is only available to those applying from within Canada.
