Open work permit for spouse

Hi there;
My wife is on a work permit in Canada with a skilled job.
Her job is on contract and her job offer letter says it’s a contractual job.
Now the question is that an I eligible for an open work permit or not?
PS
My sister is a PR holder in Canada and studying.

Waiting for someone to share any views.

You’ll only be eligible for open work permit if there’s an active spousal sponsorship application.
Has your wife applied to sponsor you? You also have to be inside Canada.

My wife is in Canada. I am in india. She is working on a contract. And my question was will I be able to get an open work permit with that or not?

No sir you should apply for vistor visa first and when you enter Canada then you can apply for open work permit

I did applied for a visitor visa and got rejected for whole lot of reasons
