We submitted our application for common law sponsorship near the end of last year and as of now it is still waiting in line to be processed.
My partner had paid for the open work permit fee together with the application fees when we submitted.
I was under the impression that she cannot apply for an open work permit until they start processing the sponsorship application.
Is my assumption correct? When can my partner officially apply for an open work permit?
