Due to Federal level changes to the issuance of temporary work permits, as of June 20th, 2015, OOPNP no longer has the authority to issue open work permit support letters to nominees. To learn about your options for retaining legal status in Canada, see CIC’s website for information about Bridging Open Work Permit eligibility requirements.

Foreign nationals in the PNP are eligible for an open work permit only if they have provided a copy of the nomination letter issued by the nominating province or territory with their application and there is no indication that employment restrictions exist as conditions of the nomination.
