I'm getting together my OOPNP Human Capital Stream (FSW) paperwork, and I'm struggling with the application fee item.
It says only valid methods of payment are:
* money order
* cashier / certified cheque
* postal money order
* bank draft
None of the banks in my country can issue any of these documents.
I read in this forum that a few applications were rejected for using Western Union.
So my question is:
What alternatives do I have? Would a personal cheque from someone in Canada work? Also, would a check in USD work?

The currency has to be in CAD and it has to be in one of the forms mentioned above. Personal checks wont work.
If you have a friend or a relative in a country which issues drafts in CAD, you can get it done by them. They can prepare the draft on your behalf and send it to you and you can send it to Ontario.

If someone of your known is staying in Canada, send your application to him/her and ask to attach 1500CAD draft with that application and submit it at PNP office. This will save your time..

I was finally able to get a Bank Draft from a local bank.
I got lucky that one of the persons at the bank knew exactly what I was looking for.
So my advice to anyone having this issue is to be persistent with the bank, try talking to different people until you find someone that knows what this is all about
