I am an international student, have done 1 year post secondary program from Ontario, now i am applying for post graduate work permit, if i will apply a job in Manitoba, is it compulsory to get job in your own fieldto apply for the PNP. 1. It is not compulsory to get job in your domain. The job can be ANY job, not necessary skilled or related to your field of study.
2. All graduate are allowed to apply but graduates who studied in manitoba will be preferred.
3. International Students Currently Working: You apply under this category if
a. Your education or training program is/was at least one-year long.
b. You must have been working in Manitoba for at least six months with a valid post-graduation work permit.
c. You have received a formal offer of long-term, full-time employment from a Manitoba employer.
NOTE: Graduates from other provinces are welcome
If you completed a post-secondary educational program in another province of Canada you could still qualify for the MPNP if you are have been working in Manitoba for at least six months and have been offered a long-term, full-time job.
4. International Students Strategic Initiative
You can not apply here as your diploma is 1 year long while the requirement of this category is 2 years
