i have a question on proof of means of financial support and proof of financial resource supporter. i dont know what to put on proof of means of financial support since i am dependent to my parents and i dont have any bank statements and my parents will cover all my visit in canada. do i like just put my parents letter on the two questions? waht should i do?
Ideally, you should put your bank account and your parents' bank account. But if you don't have a bank account, I guess putting your parents letter on the two questions will be okay.
I was also in a somewhat similar situation with you, when submitting online I need to submit letter of invitation AND acceptance letter from school, but I didn't have any invitation letter; So I ended up uploading the same acceptance letters for the two questions.
Last Saturday, which is 31 days after the online submission I received a passport request from CIC. I have submitted my passport on Monday and waiting for the result. The status is still "not started" but according to what I read in the forum, passport request most likely means approval.
I'm applying tourist visa for short term studies (exchange program) here are the documents I submitted:
- Letter from my current university in Singapore
- Letter from my host university in Montreal
- My university transcripts
- My Singapore student visa
- My bank account statement for last 4 months
- My mother's bank account statement for last 3 months
- A cover letter I typed myself explaining my intention of visit (exchange program and tourism)
- Scanned copy of my new and old passports
- Confirmed booking of plane ticket for Singapore to Vancouver and Toronto back to Singapore
- Confirmed booking of plane ticket for domestic travel (Vancouver to Montreal and Montreal to Toronto)
- Confirmed booking of Rocky mountains tour package
i mean is there any way i can take a photo online with the visa specification size? or do i go to a photo booth and have it scanned and upload it online?

Here's what I did. I went to a professional photographer and gave them the photo specification. He then re-sized it and I asked for a soft copy which I had uploaded it for my first application
