Online Visitor Visa application status from India

Hello,
My parents have applied for the Canadian Visitor Visa on Oct. 10th. The website states 27 days processing but now it has been over 45 days.
I emailed Delhi Immigration, however got the standard email response about application being in process. The online status has not changed from the date application was submitted and the call centres do not provide an status for online applications

My husband & I are both PR and hoping my parents can be here in time for our first baby who is due in dec 1st week.

Any help on figuring out who to ask about application status or expedite the process is appreciated.

Also wanted to add that my father is a retired Army officer. Wondering if that is causing any delays?

thats the cause of the delay they do additional background verification for army and police personnel

thanks Bryanna, is there any way to expedite the process? Can I contact anyone other than the delhi immigration email id? I am afraid with Dec holidays coming up, hope it does not get stalled even more

You can send a Case Specific Enquiry. There's nothing else that you can do apart from this. Background checks can take several months
