Online TRV Application

Hi all,

Anyone here had applied thru the Online Application and received a message saying that:

"...the decision has been made on your application. We require your passport to finalize processing your application.."

Does this mean that you TRV is approved?
I think it's logical that they will ask for your passport because your application is approved, right? But it does not states in the letter and is there anyone who was rejected even after receiving this letter?

Another concern that I want to check is anyone here who knows how long will it take for your passport to be released after sending the original passport in the embassy in person? Would you get it back on the same day? If not, usually how long will it take?

It sounds like approved. . It is their usual style of communication.
Unless they get your original passport ( I mean not the photo copy) and verify, their decision is not final.
Regarding the time line, it varies according to visa issuing office. Return of passports are between same day to one week, which is standard.

i submitted my TRV application via online last sunday.
then i received the message to submit the passport today.

i applied online outside canada.
is there any chance that even if i received my letter that requests my passport, my TRV will be refused?

Maybe if you have a fake or damaged passport, or information in your passport doen't match the information in the application form or shows travel to "suspect" countries.

We are on the same boat. They receive my passport on monday ( 02/04 ) and today I received and email that they'll be sending my passport back this afternoon. I'll inform you what the final decision is.

I am resident of UAE and citizen of Pakistan.... and now if I apply online which Visa office application will go.
Pakistan or UAE.

OR When you are about to apply they ask which visa office you want to apply ???

I sent my passport via express CanadaPost same as CIC instruction. Can u write the address that u sent ur passport out here? When I track my post, it says that no one was there to pick ur item. I am stress out

Actually I sent mine to CIC LA office through USPS . Problem is they said they'll send it off yesterday but until now I can't see it in USPS tracking system yet.
