I am filling out my online physical Presence Calculator Form and I am confused about the following question:
"Did you have Canadian temporary resident status (i.e. as a visitor, international student, temporary worker, temporary resident permit holder), and/or were a protected person) between 2017-09-18 and 2020-01-07?"
I have held the following:
Tourist Visa from Aug 5, 2016 - April 19, 2018
Tourist Visa from Aug 9, 2018 - Nov 20, 2027
W1 Worker Visa: Issued Nov 16, 2018 - Valid until July 30,2021
Open Work Permit Issued - Dec 10, 2018 (at YVR airport during a short trip) valid until July 30, 2021
I officially moved to Canada on Jan 29th, 2019 and used open work permit to work until my spouse and I got our PR on Jan 8, 2020.
My questions are : I am considered a "temporary worker" or "temporary resident permit holder" before I became a PR on Jan 8, 2020?
Does having "status" and "physically" being in the country mean the same or different thing? I am confused on how to enter the "type" and dates under
"List time with Canadian temporary resident or protected person status" section.
