I am curious to know if anyone has been successful in getting citizenship after attending virtual oath ceremony outside canada

LOL. That's the million dollar question. Suffice to say that the chances of oath outside Canada are between zero and nil.

Two reported cases on this forum but none that have been personally or physically verified. Good luck with that :)

Thank you :), which are the 2 reported cases? and what do you mean chances of oath outside canada, if someone does it and then gets their passport mailed outside canada to travel back to canada, what are the chances that ircc will pick that up

You can be given the option to apply for oath online, but what happens after that is a little unclear. I dont think IRCC will be mailing the citizenship certificate outside of Canada and the US.

Your local embassy will process your request for a passport after you submit the citizenship certificate.

You will have to search the forum - posts from about 4-5 months ago.

The first question asked during the online Oath is "Please confirm that you are physically in Canada". You can figure out the rest.
 
Invited to take the oath on Jan 17th. Got approved on Feb 1st to take the oath outside of Canada with valid medical reason(pregnancy). Waiting for new date and time for online ceremony.

How did you contact them? Do you have an email id? I am in a similar situation.. Can you please share your experience?
