I was accepted for Fall 2020 and my program has announced that it will deliver the courses for the Fall term online.
My question is, if I still didn't start my study permit application due to being stuck in a different country visiting my parents because airport is closed, will I be able to take these courses which are offered in the fall online if my study permit was approved after my program start date?
Even if I will take these classes in my home country?
it doesn’t make sense to require students have study permits approved before the program start date in order to allow them to sit for these online classes since travel restrictions are currently in place and study permit applications are taking longer than usual to process.
Are you sure of this requirement, that the study permit needs to be approved before the program start date?

It says you can start classes for fall 2020 without an approved permit application, but ensure that you apply ASAP so that it's at least in process to increase the chance of approval as soon as possible.

There’s nothing like this on the website. You are not to begin your program without an approval. Starting classes has no bearing on your application and the time spent would not be included during PGWP. It’s better to get your approval before starting online classes.
