I submitted my permanent resident application in Oct 2013 (Spousal sponsorship), but did not submit an open work permit with the application. I see that CIC has now added a temporary new category to allow processing of open work permits before 'approval in principle' has been granted. I just submitted my open work permit application last week.. does anyone know how long it will take to process??
According to the CIC Website, it will be processed within 4months. I have submitted mine last week under the same conditions you have. Let's see what happens......
