Invite interview: January 24th 2023
Oath: January 24th, 2023
I attended interview, it was just a review of all my documents. Then they said we have a pilot program, you can take the oath today. I said yes, waited about 40 mins. Took the oath, got my certificate and that was that. Canadian citizen. Very overwhelmed most of this week. So happy this process is over and I am now a Canadian.

I applied in December 2021, AOR February 2022, test completed September and interview January. So really just a year.
I applied from Durham region and I had my interview at Scarborough office. It was really just the officer reviewing my ID - all the documents i sent in for my application, asked me if i had any criminal convictions and then once that was confirmed as a no, the officer said all is in order. Then she said we have a pilot program where you can take to oath today. I said sure i can stay and do it. Got my Certificate of Citizenship right away. Came to the interview a PR and left a Citizen!

bring all original of every document you uploaded with your application -except the application - i.e passports, proof of language etc. Everything plus your PR card. Only question was did you commit or convicted of a crime. And that is it.

Thanks, actually I don’t have my original ielts certificate, just a copy. but it’s same which I used for PR purposes. So not sure whether it makes difference

That’s amazing! They should invite much more people to mass interviews, make a decision (if possible) and administer the oath then and there. Surely that would be far more efficient for IRCC and us.
