I have a score of 457 under CEC/FSW and currently working in Alberta on a Post Grad Open work permit that expires in Jan 2016. I recently got married and my wife is in India. I want to know what options do I have to remain working in Canada/immigrate in case I don't receive an ITA soon enough. Below are some options that I can think of -
1. Apply for PNP programs (for additional 600 pts) for other states like ON, BC, SK provided I could find a job (intra company transfer) in these provinces first? AINP takes a long time to process and my visa will expire before the application process.
2. Apply for a work permit extension or a new work permit?
Any thoughts or suggestions will be highly appreciated friends!
I am also in Alberta working on Post graduate work permit. What NOC level is your job in? I have a similar EE score to you and have a job in NOC level A but don't have a years Canadian work experience after graduation yet. How many years of skilled Canadian work experience do you have?
I am in the similar boat. Alberta's PNP program is very bad...to be worse, I did my master's degree from University of Waterloo in Ontario and relocated to Alberta because of a job offer. So, I am only qualified for the international graduate category for Alberta PNP, which even takes longer processing time. I am in NOC code 1111 category A and my PGWP have one year left from now. I started to worry about whether the CRS score will go down to 450 ish again. The next few draws will tell me the situation. If not, I have to request for a transfer to other provinces like ON, Sask, NB, MB, or NS from my company. The express entry system biased against PGWP holders in my opinion.

I feel helpless about this situation. You are right the AINP takes about 1.5 years which is awful. I dont think there is anything that could be done other than to wait.

Someone was mentioning to me that since I am employed with a company in Canada I could look for converting my PG Open work permit to a closed work permit with the same employer. This route to be taken if I don't receive an ITA soon. I tried doing some research but could not find anything substantial.
