i submitted my husband's application ( primary applicant) to the OINP on the 22nd of January and finally received our entire application package returned to us stating they will no longer process our application since there was a missing document and that they have received high volumes of applications they are not going to process it. what was missing was a blank page from my husbands passport. I dont even know how that could have happened !
What can i do next? can i send in a Reconsideration Request ?

so disappointing. i am hoping there is a way around this.

This is really sad! Did they actually let you know that the entire application will not be processed now because of a " missing blank page" in passport? Are you 100% sure? Does this mean that the whole passport (irrespective of blank pages) needs to be scanned and sent?

Yes, the whole passport including blank pages should be sent to Ontario. It was indicated in their application package that you have to send the entire passport.

However, they can make mistakes too. Check again in your returned application. You may find that page there and you can explain that to OINP. If it's their mistakes, they will accept your application again.

I know one guy whose application was returned mentioning "invalid cheque" ... Next day he went to PNP office in person and met the Manager. Manager accepted his application again since its their mistake ... He got his AOR on the same day ...

Better , go in person and talk to the Manager.

thanks

you don`t have to send all pasport pages of a dependant
Copy of each dependant's passport page which shows his/her photo and personal information

however, you have to provide all passport pages of principal applicant.

refer to the application checklist

Are you CEC or FSW applicant?

Same situation here! My OINP application got returned because of a missing blank page in my entirely new passport, my old passport was also attached to the application, which contained all my visas and stamps. Now I got rejected because of one blank page.....Are you planning to make an argument?

Hi sunny when did you apply?? was it in jan too?

i think this is the new tread they are finding faults with every thing and then mentioning that they are busy with other applications.

This is strange. Who is the principle candidate? You or your husnand? Complete passport is required only for principle candidate as far as I know. For dependents, only bio pages are required.

From oinp application guide.

Please provide a copy of your entire passport:

 The passport copy must include clear copies of each page including all blank pages, Temporary Resident Visas, entry stamps, and/or any other immigration stamps. You must also include copies of Work Permits, Study Permits, and/or any other Canadian immigration documents;

 Your passport must have been valid for at least two years prior to submission of your nominee application. If your passport has not been valid for at least two years (i.e., the previous passport expired less than two years before the submission of the nominee application), then copies of all of the pages of your previous passport must also be included; AND

 Your passport should be valid for at least two more years. If you are unable to renew your passport prior to applying to the program, you must apply with your current passport with an explanation of why your passport could not be renewed at the time of the application.

Provide a copy of each dependent’s passport page showing his/her photo and personal information, if applicable.

FSW Applicant. Husband is the prime applicant.

From the entire lot i am not sure how just ONE page could go missing !!

would you make a case? its is a blank passport page hence it is not new information and it isnt new documentation since it is a part of the passport that has been previously submitted.

I don't think you can make a case unless you can prove that they make mistakes. They just find reasons to reject applications; so I don't think they will give any chance to submit missing documents since they have many complete applications to process.

yes I applied on Jan 26th. It was indeed my own careless mistake, just felt very disappointed that they only let us know AFTER the program closed, so that no one can re-submit their applications until november....:(
