Does the OHIP waiting period start from:
- The application date
- The landing date
- Any other date.

I went to service Ontario office and they told me to bring my bank statement as a proof of address (the statement will be sent to my address only the end of next month), and I would like to know if they will take into account the date I apply or the date I opened the account or the date I land or what.

Please advise from real experience not from assumptions.

for info: I landed on 14 april 2010 (I gave them a friend address at the airport) and opened the bank account on 16 april 2010
