Hi everyone

When I started to work full-time after my graduation in March 2014 I had only my Off-Campus Work Permit and then I applied for a PGWP which came in June 2014. So can I apply for CEC now because its been 1 year since I started officially working in Canada but until June 2014 I was on my Off Campus WP OR do I have to wait until June 2015 (my PGWP came in June 2015 but I started to work in March 2014 under my Off Campus WP)?

Hi,
in order to become CEC eligible you have to gain your work experience under PGWP. Some VO accept a work experience gained under OCWP but not all of them. So if you want to be 100% sure, apply in June.

The work experience gained while you were on an off campus work permit after graduation counts.

Good luck.

Cheers

yes, the work after graduation should count. But you will need to write a letter of explanation, that you started working in the transition to the PGWP, and provide proof of your date of graduation.

Hey, I was in the same situation as you. I provided a letter of explanation to inform the VO that I was no longer a full time student when I was working on my OCWP. I also provided my confirmation of graduation. Since I had to do a co-op I also provided proof of completion of the co-op as supporting evidence.
