No updates on this thread from last few days, by anyone, seems like IRCC is working on little older files.

Hey guys, question to online citizenship applicants; has anyone seen movement in terms of BG check completed or test invite?

processing started on my application on Jan. 11th however nothing ever since.

I looked up in the August applications tab, their BG check is being completed now and are getting test invites. I guess 1-2 more months. We might start to see movement in May.

It’s not exactly like that. I think now they’re working on applications from July up to Sept. not just August

Fingerprints done & Submitted: March 21st, 2022
Citizenship Test Invite: March 31st, 2022

C-Test scheduled to be taken between 4th April and 24th April, 2022.

Waiting on the official test invite letter or email.

Application processing time updated on IRCC website. It’s now 27 months for citizenship grant up from 12!!

and Citizenship certificate - 17 months

Not very good. For that long wait (27 months) the passport can expire and not everyone can re-new, considering what's going on in East Europe.

27 Months???? up straight from 12 months, thats too much. Wondering what has changed now ? Ukraine/Russia issue is almost settled. Where is IRCC busy now ?

I do not want to go to politics, but "Ukraine/Russia issue is almost settled" statement is not correct, it's far from over and nobody knows how this ends.

Me 2 dont want to go to politics, what i meant was, Ukraine/Russia issue from IRCC perspective is now old, IRCC must have priority actioned on any potential file belonging to Ukraine, why the timeline suddenly increase from 12 months to 27 months. Am i missing anything recent ?

I'm not clear about the 27 months processing time, as per the citizenship tracker, average time from date of submission to Oath ceremony is about 240 days ~ 8-9 months, why is the processing time is mentioned as 27 months, Am I wrong in assuming that one become officially a Canadian Citizen after completion of Oath ceremony, is n't?
