Hi everyone, I am a trans woman who transitioned while living in Canada and have been a Canadian citizen for a few years now. I have legally changed my gender markers and name on all my documents in Canada including my licence, passport, citizenship certificate to reflect that (M to F).
I knew it was going to be a problem applying for my OCI, since it has my Indian passport has gender as M. When I went for my appointment to BLS, they were confused and didn’t know what to do. They suggested I go to the Indian Consulate to help with this. I can’t seem to find any links or ways to book an appointment with the consulate in Toronto, which is where I live. I have a name change certificate which should cover the name part, but need help in figuring out how to book an appointment with the Indian Consulate in Toronto.

@Skyboo - Could you please share your experience here? I am in a similar boat now with my citizenship application in processing (Waiting for LPP and an oath date). My personal details in my Indian passport and Canadian passport (when I get it) will not be the same, so I am quite nervous about the whole OCI process.
P.S: Never thought I would be coming back to this forum after 2.5 years. It feels like a long time since I became a PR and things have changed! Hello everyone!
