Hi , do you know of any Oath ceremonies (virtual) taking place for Mississauga office applications in the last 1 year ?? Our oath is still pending since July of 2021 !! Not sure what is the constraint for doing zoom meeting which have a capacity of 500-1000 participants !

There have been various claims about Mississauga office swearing in 100s of applicants, 6 days of the week, but the backlog doesn't seem to be clearing, which is quite evident from the posts on the forum.
Either the quantum of backlog is incorrectly reported or the number of Oaths; or maybe both.

it is not a very quick and efficient process that they would accommodate 500-1000 participants. this would require a lot of staff/agents from them who have to do their due diligence and it would more time and perhaps more mess to conduct a ceremony.

Not sure about that. All the checks are done and a decision made and a ceremony is a formality in my understanding. Not sure how a virtual ceremony can be misused that they need further due diligence… May be I’ve an over simple picture in my mind..

Unfortunately not. A protest in the parking lot may not be a bad idea. I was seriously considering standing there with a placard, but don’t have a stake anymore in delayed citizenship applications.
