Hello,
I will soon apply for my wifes' citizenship. She had lived in canada for 2 yrs and change.
There are additional 1.5 yrs were we had to spend out of Canada. Because of her Family issues.
I 'have heard' that if spouse(me) is accompanying my person(wife) when outside the country.
My wife can be counted towards days in Canada because i was accompanying her.
Is this True?
Thanks

Not exactly. They are very strict about what time spent outside can count towards citizenship.

The Canadian spouse has to be employed in one of the:
  • Canadian Armed Forces
  • federal public administration
  • public service of a province or territory

You are confusing the PR residency obligation with the requirements for citizenship. For citizenship the requirement is 3 years physical presence in the 5 years preceding application time. Assuming you are not in the Canadian armed forces or a federal employee so therefore you cannot apply for her citizenship at this time.
