Hi, eventhough we don't need a statutory declaration of common law according to the cic information, they just requested it anyway. My question is if it needs to be notarized. The email says the following:
In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Stat Dec of Common-Law IMM5409: A signed and completed Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union form (IMM 5409) bearing original signatures
The above information/documents must be received in our office within 30 days from the date of this letter.

A statutory declaration has to be sworn in front of notary or commissioner of oaths, otherwise it's not a stat dec
