while applying for cic, i had two jobs..I quit the job the following week (the one with which I applied)...but I am continuing my other job ( in a restaurant) should I inform about it or is it ok? because in the reference letter the manager wrote'' he is working'' but i quit that month itself.

No it's not necessary to inform cic if you resign from your job as is not required to work once your application for cec is filled. Before you leave your job Make sure your employer knows that he/she may expect a call if cic decides to do employment verification on your work experience (but that rarely happens) good luck

Hello Guys!!
My husband wants to leave his current job under which we have applied our immigration.
But in AOR , it is clearly mentioned that we need to notify them if we are changing our job.
So,is it necessary to notify them if my husband is leaving curent job?
Please do reply.
answer given :Yes. Any change in current employer has to be informed to CIC.
This is what my AOR reads:
"Please inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc). Please include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals."
I guess is just a new occupation you have to notify them about...

Yeah, I don't think they are particularly interested in the current employment status but they would want to know information that could be considered part of background check which can start at any time and take a while.
