Non-accompanying family member dependant child

My child was listed on my wifes COPR as non-accompanying is this fine? He's a canadian citizen and we are getting him his Canadian passport for us all to travel to Canada together at the end of the month of October. We didn't need to make a PR application for him because he's canadian through me. So I was wondering does non-accompanying matter in our instance?
